We had a short stay at Oakwood and staff & owner were very kind and polite to us. They went out of the way to solve for some unexpected problems and also assisted us in running some chores from the market. They also arranged a trek for us to Pari tibba and Mr Sandeep was very helpful in accompanying us during the Trek. He shared his knowledge about the trek and flora & fauna as well.
Overall our group loved the stay, food and hospitality at this property. Its located right in the middle of valley so views are pretty breathtaking. Its excellent location to do bird watching as well.
Mr Atul, manager at the property ensured we didn’t have any difficulties during our stay and guided us about activities. He was kind enough to call us prior to arrival and send location of property.

If you are looking for an amazing place to hide away from hustle bustle of daily life, stay in a comfortable place, in the middle of forest, literally doing nothing, this is the place to be!!!
Such a wide variety of rooms they have, single rooms for a couple, 2-3 bhk kind of arrangement for large groups.

Drive to the resort is little tough, I mean you will have to navigate little steep slopes in the last 1 km, but manageable. They also provide car pick and drop till the Woodstock School hostel.
Atul jee and his staff are very supportive.
Places to go nearby - Mussoorie, Dhanaulti, Kanatal etc which are 30-60 kms drive.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Oakwood Forest Retreat, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Mr. Atul Negi and his team extended such warm hospitality that truly made us feel at home.
The staff members were always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed, which added a personal touch to our stay. The quality of the food was also outstanding—every meal was delicious and thoughtfully prepared.

We had a lovely time on this property. It may appear on the higher side for cost but the upkeep and the accessories available are best in the industry.
In case you face any challenges the staff and Atuljee would try their best to make you comfortable.
Location wise a bit secluded so people who love Offbeat stay would love this place.
The approach to this place may be a bit difficult for first timers but people used to offbeat route can relate.
Rooms have good views and have good common space in each floor to relax.
They provide private balcony as well for 3rd level rooms.
Food was amazing and prepared fresh and you can ask them to adjust based on taste.
The night aura was wonderful due to close proximity with nature.
Note - Ask for the best path from the Hotel staff as there are two routes one of which is too steep.

Had a great stay at the Oakwood forest Retreat Landour Musoorie a few days ago. Was traveling with young kids and elder parents. The place possibly has most amazing views in Musoorie. We took a complimentary guided tour to Pari Tibba and got breathtaking views of the Doon valley. Another thing that was unique about this place was the staff and the food. We ate from “farm to kitchen to table” food everyday customized for us. Only issue we faced was the transportation from the retreat to the mall road/other viewpoints. Due to yatra season, cab drivers were asking for unreasonable rates. If you have your own vehicle you should be good; Harvinder ji mentioned that he is planning for a retreats’ shuttle service in a few months, and personally helped us get reasonable transport. Overall a place with unmatchable views and service!

I had booked this place online in the last moment, an hour before I dropped in. I was not at all disappointed. Amazing rooms, superb interiors, clean place and the best part is it is secluded from city hustle, though not far away from Mall road(4-5km) for shopping. Had little difficulty finding the place in map but took the help of some local people. The road towards the stay is quite steep and narrow, so if you do not have the habit of driving in the hills, I would suggest to let the homestay staff members or the point of contact know, and they would happily help you out. Also, lovely view of sunset from the place. I would like to thank the owner Aditya and the helper Krishna for their good service and hospitality.

A beautiful property located 5 kms away from the busy mall road. Comfortable & perfect for a family. From the view to the food, everything is perfect. They offer multiple options of room sets (single rooms, 2, 3 & 4 rooms suites). Rooms are same as shown in the pictures. The owner (Harvinder ji) is a very sweet & cooperative person. Staff (especially Raman & Mahipal) is hard working and serve you on time without any greed. We were sceptical about the property while booking because it is secluded and there are no cafes or restaurants nearby. But a big thank you to the chef Sanjay for the sumptuous food. Also, we went there by Urbania (traveller) and the last 800 m (from woodstock school) is meant for cars & bikes only but they provide a car & a driver with a smiling face (Sandeep) to drop you till the school.

My two friends and I spent two nights at Oakwood Forest Retreat, and it was a fantastic experience. The retreat is tucked away from the crowded streets of Mussoorie, offering expansive views of beautiful oak forests. We loved the peaceful stillness, yet appreciated how close we were to Landour and Mussoorie. Our long walks to Landour and the Mall Road were a real highlight. The beds were comfy, bathrooms clean, and the staff very helpful throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the open sit-outs, soaking in the serene surroundings. If you’re looking for tranquility with easy access to the best of the hills, this place is perfect!

A tonic for your soul.
Oakwood is a fabulous property nestled on the hillside looking directly into a stunning green valley with equally amazing views into the distance. One can enjoy complete peace and quiet while still being very close to the bustle of Mussourie. The local wildlife adds to the natural setting. Bonfire night is particularly enjoyable on the gravel terrace.
The property is well kitted out with necessary comforts and are run by staff from the local region who are known for their hospitality. Hearty meals with lot of choices are served and are extremely tasty.
If you are looking to escape the city for a few days of R&R, then Oakwood is the place to visit.
Wildlife lovers should bring their cameras and binoculars to enjoy the many sights even more. There are also some very nice walks around the property including one that takes you to a stunning sunset viewing point.

I have recently stayed in Oakwood Forest Retreat with my family. We had a great and comfortable stay. Rooms were cozy and the views were awesome from different common sitting areas. The property is located at a very quiet place amidst the forest. To reach the place, one of the staff members guided us through the way as we reached by evening and the approach of the property is quite secluded. Its a very well maintained property with lots of beautiful plants around and all the amenities required. The support staff was really cooperative and nice to help us out with many things during the stay. Over all our experience at this property was wonderful! We will surely visit here again!

Had a great experience at Oakwood Retreat. It’s a beautiful new resort nestled between dense oak cover and has splendid views all around. Harvinder ji and his staff went above and beyond in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms are well made and spotlessly clean with even electric blanket underneath to keep the guests warm! We enjoyed live music , bonfire and great spread of delicious food served hot! Spent an unforgettable Christmas weekend and trekked up to park tibba with wonderful views and rich history. Wonderful experience and amazing hospitality. The team was in constant touch with us to guide us to the property. The property is off the main highway and is quite peaceful with picturesque views. The staff is very hospitable and went out of their way to ensure that we had a comfortable and hassle-free stay. Food was delicious and freshly made. They have quite an elaborate menu to choose from. Overall the stay was excellent and would highly recommend this property.

I visited Oakwood from Mumbai with my friends from 12 to the 16th Aug, 2023. The owner Mr .Harvinder organized everything for us including a reliable taxi service for our pick up and drop from DD Airport.
The property is so beautiful and we can see the valley. The rooms are comfortable and very clean and has all the amenitities.
The USP of the property is the owner and his staff. They made us feel so special and the food was absolutely amazing. They went out of their way to ensure they made all the dishes we asked and requested to eat. A must visit!!!

We recently visited Oakwood Forest Resort in Landour with our group of friends in June. From the moment we walked in, the warm vibe of the resort set the tone for a delightful vacation. The ambiance is inviting and elegant, perfect for any staycation. The staff was attentive and patient, enhancing the experience with their exceptional hospitality. The service provided by Sandeep Ji, Mahipal Ji, Dhanveer Ji, and all the other staff made for a remarkable experience. They even managed to arrange a gala dinner for us when we requested them to have our dinner outside in the garden.
The food prepared by Chef Rajesh was very tasty and he offered a lot of variety. It was made with fresh ingredients and was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the Pahari-style chicken..

What a find! We spent last weekend at Oakwood Forest Retreat and it was an absolute dream. This place is so pretty and quiet—totally removed from all the city noise. The rooms were gorgeous and super comfy, and the food hit the spot. Plus, they have two of the sweetest dogs that made our stay even better. Waking up to different kinds of birds and clouds walking right into our room was a treat. Our family had such a comfortable and unforgettable time. If you're in Mussoorie, this is the place to be!

We had a wonderful time at the retreat. Sandeep came to pick us up at the point to ensure that there was no issue with driving to the property. We were checked into smoothly and the property in itself is charming surrounded by hills and trees. Chef Rakesh and his team did a fabulous job with the food. 5 star!
And next morning Dhanveer took us for a hike on a scenic trail. I was with my parents who are seniors and had no difficulty in the hike.
All in all a big thumbs up to the whole team for making our stay pleasant.

Had a great 2 nights stay with my friends.
This property (villa) is located outside the main city of landour which is a plus for all those who are looking for some peaceful timeout with their friends and family. The staff and caretaker tries to accommodate all the request.
The rooms are big, neat and clean and comes with mountain view.
Driving on the last patch of 50 meters could be tricky for some.
